Owen Gozan is a sophomore at UC Davis, majoring in Food Science. Having been exposed to food from all around the world at a young age and realizing the vast difference between them, in addition to my love for food and experimenting with recipes to improve the flavor of the dish he made, led him to pursue the study of Food Science, especially food sensory. That also led him to decide that he wants to focus on product development where he aims to develop innovative product that could fit everyone's palettes, have a unique health benefit that is unlike other food products, accessible, and highly sustainable. He has started his product development journey by participating in the IFT Mars Product Development Competition where he and his team developed a product called Temptastic Tacos which is a fully vegan tacos with a much higher protein content than other vegan taco products using tempeh as the taco shell.
