Bio

Jinwoo Chae is a Junior majoring in Food Science and Technology. He is deeply interested in sensory science, consumer science, and product development. Summer 2024, he has an upcoming operational intern (QA) at Ardent Mills, the largest US milling company in the United States. Following the completion of his Bachelor's degree, his academic journey will continue towards earning a Master's degree in sensory science. His decision to major in food science was sparked by a profound interest in understanding how various factors influence customer experience, an insight he gained through his experiences working in different restaurants. As he completed more upper-division food science courses in Davis, he realized that sensory analysis is the area that relates the most to his interest. He decided to join Delarue Lab because it would be a great opportunity for me to gain comprehensive lab experience in sensory analysis that he can use in his future career.
